One of the women who works here just received a singing valentine. A barbershop quartet just presented her with a flower and a card and sang, Let Me Call You Sweetheart. It was sweet. All work in the building stopped for a few minutes. Then, students started popping up and taking pictures with their cell phones. Very nice.
I have a sweet valentine’s story…
A number of years ago, I was in a long distance relationship. He lived in Texas and I lived in Illinois. He sent me frosted, heart-shaped cookies for Valentine’s Day. Also in the box of cookies was a videotape. Now, don’t go there! It was a perfectly G-rated video. He videotaped himself making the cookies. It was so sweet. Even though I’m no longer with the guy, I saved the tape because it was such a sweet thing to do.
Do you have a story?
Have a Nice Valentine’s Day…
Edit: There is a slideshow in the online Columbia Missourian about the singing valentines, although the men that are pictured are not the ones who were just here.
