In my break from reading stuff for class tomorrow, I found so much good stuff on the web tonight:

What Small Colleges Really Want Good reading about grad school and specialized language, personality, voice, and academic cover letters. This might be a good read for some in my professional writing class.
via Anbruch comes this link to a NY Times Op-Ed: Show Me The Science This makes me think…I’m using the summer reading text by Bill McKibben, Enough, where he talks about genetics, robotics, and nanotechnology and as part of my first unit, the first assignment asks students to write an argument in answer the question, “To what extent do ‘we need to survey the world we now inhabit and proclaim it good. Good enough?’” I’m thinking it best if I just casually mention as McKibben does on page 43, “Phrases like ‘playing God’ form no part of a valid argument.”
The Rhetorics of Violence
Sacha’s link list at del.icio.us: Lots of good miscellaneous links I wish I had more time to explore right now. If you subscribe to her blog, her del.icio.us links for a particular day come in the feed. Too cool!
Jenny Edbauer talks about her dissertation on the affective dimensions of rhetoric. This pertains to a class I’m taking this summer with Donna.
