Processing photos is super slow right now at Flickr, but if you click over, you can see some pictures I took this weekend that show the aftermath of our big snowstorm last Thursday. I’ve got two pictures from my doorway. I live on the second floor and the walkway is covered. I was so surprised to open my door and see 6-8 inches of snow piled up outside my door. And, speaking of snow piled up, you can also see the snow piled up in the parking lot at the grocery store. Also, look at the dirty snow still on the roads. At that point, the snow had stopped and a snow plow had just went buy, but look at all that slush and ice on the road. I don’t know why the driver of that truck didn’t have the blade a little closer to the ground.
I don’t own and couldn’t get a shovel so I cleared the driveway in front of my garage with the lid of my cooler. It was hard work, but oddly, satisfying when I finished.
The weather is still in the single digits at night and we’ll be lucky if the temperature makes it above freezing tomorrow. I’ve got a full tank of gas and the gas tank also has some Iso-HEET (not any of the other kinds gas additives to keep moisture out, per my step-father’s instructions). The battery on my motorcycle is also hooked to the battery charger. I need to call my step-father back. I’m not sure whether to put STA-BIL in its gas tank since it is now going to be a while before I’m out on it again, or put some of the Iso-HEET in it too. Or, both?
