My computer is an old clamshell iBook SE in Lime. I use OS 10.3.7 and I love the doc at the bottom of my screen that lets me quickly access several programs including Safari, Mail, iTunes, etc. (MAC users know this, but my PC friends might not).

Anyhow, by accidentally moving icons around on my desktop, I just realized that I can add more of my most-used applications to the dock. Very cool and news to me! Now, MAC users were probably already aware of this, and my PC friends couldn’t care less. :)

BTW, how many users, PC or MAC, know that clamshell iBooks cannot have screen resolutions larger than 800 x 600? It’s a minor aggravation now that I’ve learned compensating behaviors by becoming more acquainted with horizontal scroll. My compensating behavior illustrates number 12 on the manifesto: “Learning happens when things work, different learning occurs when things don’t work.”

If you’re somewhat amused with this story and my tone, then I have somewhat achieved “network literacy,” especially if you are so really engaged that you pass this tip along to someone else. One point of clarification — I could have been talking about books, travel, motorcycles, or a combination of all three this morning and it still would have been considered network literacy if my network was engaged by my rambling because these three things represent something about me.

This reminds me. I have not yet started my “100 things about me” list. I’ll add that to my coming soon list!
Have a good day!
