8May2006 Filed under: meta Author: Marcia HansenDad’s still in the hospital, but doing ok. He is now actively talking about wanting to go home. I think not much non-emergency work gets done on Saturday and Sunday. Dr. PainMgmt and Dr. Cortisone still have to come in to see him.
I’m still in paper-writing mode. I have a paper to finish by this evening. Then, I have a final exam to give on Wednesday and the last paper to finish by the weekend and then grades have to be in by Monday at 5:00.

Having your father in the hospital and worrying about an unwritten paper at the same time–what a true graduate school moment. It will end eventually!
