Here’s one way to provide a weblog as tenure material: turn your blog into a book at blogbinders. If it looks like a book, feels like a book, has as many pages as a book, has good thoughts, ideas, and analysis like a book, does that make it a book?
I’ve got tongue in cheek here, but I think there are bloggers who could turn their blogs into books.
Books that are/were blogs might be another way to get some more converts.
UPDATE: Just had another thought on this. I wonder if I could blog my MA thesis. I could even set it up in another blog so my focus was clear. Hmm…Charlie Lowe sent an email earlier about pre-conference workshop at Computers & Writing 2005 on Drupal and coursesites. I think I’ve heard that Drupal has a book feature. Hmm…

Thanks for the shout out. I’ve been ranting on about books from blogs for some time (you can search for the posts right on the website “books blogs”), and now I’ve seen claims of people blogging books. Yes, that’s turning a book into a blog. Can’t see the purpose myself as an ebook would be handier. Visit again!
