digital content strategy, social media marketing, and seo expertise
I’ve been linked by someone who doesn’t know me in real life. I don’t know if it was something I said, but Nancy at Random Thoughts used my link to get to the Lowe and Williams article. That’s totally cool! I’m part of the network. (G)

Yes, very cool! Someday you’ll have to help me understand how you track these things.

There are different programs you can use.
I use statcounter.com. I know other people use: sitemeter.com.
I’ve been really happy with statcounter. I can see all sorts of interesting stuff about my visitors:
- what site they came from
- what their IP is
- what page they came to
- their navigation path through my site
- how long they stayed
- what their operating system is
It’s pretty cool. Although, it made me a little nervous in the beginning. When I click on someone’s URL from my own site, I know that because most everyone else uses these things too, they will see that I had visited and might come see my blog.
I wasn’t sure I wanted to let everyone know I was here. Now I like knowing someone has visited. I like comments more, but, eh, that will come.

Thanks! And I’m also happy to see the step by step guide to trackbacks above.
