Lots going on and lots on my mind lately…
First, I can’t get enough sleep. My body is asking for 9-12 hours lately. Then, I’m tutoring in the Writing Lab and my summer professional writing class is going well thanks to some ideas I got while attending the Computers & Writing Conference in Lubbock. [...]

On the recommendation of a random grocery shopper, I picked up some Crystal Light Peach Tea. Have you had it? It’s really good. I didn’t expect to like it quite this much. I’ve been drinking significantly less soda, which I think is a good thing.

I wheeled the bike in the garage at about 9 p.m. last night. I didn’t catch any rain, but the low 70 deg. temps last night meant that I put my rain suit on for warmth anyway.

I’ve spent two wonderful days with Deb and her family. Yesterday, we had lunch together, went to the arts festival, The Book Loft, Schiller’s for the park and to the German food restaurant of the same name for dinner, and then to Graeter’s for ice cream.

The A/C got fixed today!! It’s *very* exciting news for us.
A few of us went for a late lunch at Joy’s Village. It was a fabulous place for Chinese food. J. recommended it so I thought it would be good, but I really didn’t suspect just how good it would be. [...]

Ahh…it’s cooler today.
I’ve really had a good experience as a grad student over the past week.
When I went to the Computers & Writing conference in Lubbock, no one treated me like I was just a grad student. Several people remembered me by name from last year and asked how I was doing. [...]

The campus here is really nice. Everything is so green. Plus, people here enjoy doing things outside. On my walk home last night around 9:00 as I was walking by the quad, I saw a guy lying on his stomach reading a book. Earlier in the day people were sunbathing, playing [...]

and we’re having a party…OR rather: I’ll be partying when I get done with my talk this afternoon at 5:00!
