I’m hard at working getting ready for classes.
I did laundry (and ironing!) yesterday and today so I’ve got clothes to wear all week. I’m ready (and excited) for my first class tomorrow evening with Donna. Before class I have to pay my car insurance, pick up my parking pass and then meet T. I’ll be excited to hear how her first day of teaching went.
Then, I have an 8:00! class on Tuesday morning and teaching begins (for me) on Tuesday at 11:00. I’d love to have syllabi ready and on the web so students can read, download, and print from there. We’ll see.
I’m really excited about teaching. It is a little odd that after Tuesday, I might have students drop by this space occasionally. I wonder how that will change things?? I don’t imagine that I will be completely candid in everything I say; however, I don’t think things will change that drastically. This is my work space, and I’ve always had it in the back of my mind that students might one day read what I write. And, I’m pretty open and expressive anyway. Besides, f2f people mostly know whether I have a question or a problem with something. ![]()
Well, I must get back to the syllabi and find the middle ground between structure and allowing time for productive detours!
