For those whom I’ve been neglecting, I apologize. I have a paper due Friday at 5p and the last one on Saturday at noon. Once I get these turned in, I’ll be a better blogger and friend. Bear with me, please, till then.
I have a bottle of Moet Chandon that has been in the refrig since y2k. I was sick on y2k and the year after, and there never seemed like a significant occasion to open it. Sad, but true. Do you think it’s still good after 5 years?
Saturday at 12:01 might be a good time to find out.
About m2h blogsMarcia Hansen works by day as a marketing manager in social media. At other times you'll find her traveling about speaking, writing, and learning. And, if she's lucky, it's on her Honda Shadow 1100.

Only one way to find out, but I’m more curious to hear why a Saturday in late May is so important?
Saturdays get all the good public relations – date night; movie night; go out dancing night; stay in and snuggle night; marriage proposals…and on and on. I think you should blaze a new path – say for Tuesdays.
Anyway – here’s a link for champaigne and its longevity. http://www.champagnemagic.com/faqs.htm

Charles, thanks for the link. Noon Saturday was the day I submitted my last paper of the semester. I have one year in and another to go before I get my M.A.
In the end, I still didn’t open the champaigne. Sleep was way more important.

np. Also – i have a thought about your view that students don’t share their blog and/or that they simply don’t.
Have you thought about the effect of personality? I think the Myers-Briggs breakdowns we grew up with have been replaced. Instead of 16 sets of initials (INTP, EFTJ, etc) it seems they now fall into one of four – Controller, Persuader, Stabilizer and Analyzer.
Decision making and interaction with people are still the two drivers – but I recently heard a description that put it into a sharper perspective.
Think of your personality diagram as an iceberg. At rest is the default position – say introverted and take charge (controller). However, you rotate this iceberg depending on the situation – to extrovert, to process thinker, or to a comforter.
My thought is this: If a student’s default position is introverted – would blogging feel like public speaking?
That may explain the reluctance you’ve seen in some.
