Yesterday was a full writing day and today has been too, except for the huge computer problem I had to overcome. Luckily, before I started work yesterday, I backed up my documents, pictures and software files so nothing is lost. The only thing that is not backed up is music and I can deal with that in various ways if I need to. I still have original discs and at least the loaner ipod is up to date. So, it’s manageable.

In a break from writing today, I saw this post at Eve’s Heath & Fitness:Burn more fat: 10 fat burning tips for people on the go.

I particularly like #1 – “When you wake up, commit to 10 minutes of continuous exercise.” It’s quick and easy and doesn’t involve a lot of planning to implement. Just wake up and do it.

I also like #6 – “Tired at night and just want to sit in front of the TV? Try this technique: Take periodic five-minute exercise breaks and perform some muscle stimulating and calorie burning exercise.” Who wants to watch the comercials anyway? And, by working out in intervals, I think it would get me out of the “just veg” mode quicker.

Then, at Barnes & Noble on Friday night, I picked up Good Karma: How to find it and Keep it by Joan Duncan Oliver. I learned that “Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘action,’ though it’s often used to refer to both an action and its results” (15). Learning this detail made me smile because my 2007 word is action.

ok, back to other writing…
