Oh, spare me. In my del.icio.us inbox, I received my first piece of Agloco spam from urlhunter who promotes Agloco, a company that promises to pay me to surf.

More on this company here: Web 1.0 Undead Rise: AGLOCO

Writing “Agloco spam” from urlhunter could be considered a digital literacy as it links the company and the negative activity and is better than linking del.icio.us with the unfavorable keyword or activity as I almost did when I wrote the above sentence. However, how much negative conversation is still a good thing for the company? I tried to mitigate that by not linking to the company’s home page; however, if you were teaching digital literacies, would you use this event as an opportunity to discuss the issue with students or just advise them to just click delete and move on?
